The fixed transborder is a motorized elevator installed on the ground, with hand wheels and safety dowels, which allows the transfer of a person with reduced mobility (PMR) from a wheel chair to the pool with ease and security.
The fixed transborder is made of stainless steel with an electropolishing finish. An electrical accentuator controlled by remote control or direct control, performs the lifting movement. The lift is designed and manufactured in France.
The use of the fixed transborder is simple. The person with reduced mobility (PRM) is installed in the bucket seat, equipped with folding armrest and leg rests which is further suspended from a lifting boom. The person is lowered slowly into the water maintaining a comfterble horisontal position until the requested water depht is obtained.
The boom is hinged with a vertical column fixed to a plate anchored to the ground by 6 hand wheels and security dowels.
The ascent and descent is done through a 24 volt electric cylinder (capacity 1 ton) operated by a remote control or direct controls. The design of the fixed transborder allows a stable descent of the seat on a height difference of 1.20 m.
After use, the seat of the transborder can be removed and the elevator put under a protective cover or removed from the ground (thanks to the hand wheels) and put away in a technical storage room.
